Dow Futures Flat After Major Indices Finish Higher, Nvidia Reports

AiVIF.com - U.S. stock futures were flat on Wednesday night after all three major averages ended higher during the daily trading session, with energy, real estate and financials leading the gains ahead of the highly anticipated Jackson Hole Symposium.

By 7:10pm ET (11:10pm GMT) Dow Jones Futures were trading flat, while S&P 500 Futures and Nasdaq 100 Futures were up 0.1% apiece.

In extended deals, NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) fell 4.6% after reporting Q2 EPS of $0.51, versus $0.53 expected. Revenue came in at $6.7 billion versus $6.83 billion expected.

Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) fell 6.7% after the company reported Q2 EPS of $1.19, beating expectations of $1.03. Revenue was reported at $7.72 billion versus $7.7 billion expected.

Snowflake Inc (NYSE:SNOW) surged 17% as the company reported Q2 losses of $0.70 per share, worse than expected losses of $0.01, while revenue was reported at $497.25 million versus $467.4 million expected.

Autodesk (NASDAQ:ADSK) added 6.2% after reporting Q2 EPS of $1.65, above estimates of $1.57, while revenues came in at $1.24 billion versus $1.22 billion expected.

Splunk (NASDAQ:SPLK) fell 11% after reporting Q2 losses of $1.30 versus expected losses of $0.36, while revenue came in at $798.75 million versus $748.97 million.

NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP) lifted 5.8% after reporting Q1 EPS of $1.20, versus $1.10 expected. Revenues were reported at $1.59 billion versus $1.55 billion.

Investors are awaiting the Jackson Hole economic symposium, with Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell scheduled to speak Friday morning, while Thursday’s jobless claims data will also be closely monitored.

Among earnings, market participants will be watching reports from Gap Inc (NYSE:GPS), Dollar Tree Inc (NASDAQ:DLTR), Peloton Interactive Inc (NASDAQ:PTON) and Dollar General Corporation (NYSE:DG), while Affirm Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:AFRM), Ulta Beauty Inc (NASDAQ:ULTA) and Workday Inc (NASDAQ:WDAY) are slated to report after the closing bell.

During Wednesday’s regular trade, The Dow Jones Industrial Average lifted 59.6 points, or 0.2%, to 32,969.2. The S&P 500 climbed 0.3% to 4,140.8, and the NASDAQ Composite added 0.4% to 12,431.5.

On the bond markets, United States 10-Year rates were at 3.109%.
