AiVIF.com -- Chứng khoán Mỹ giảm vào đầu ngày thứ Năm khi lợi suất trái phiếu kho bạc tăng sau khi có ý kiến cho rằng Cục Dự trữ Liên bang chưa thể kết thúc việc tăng lãi suất để ngăn chặn lạm phát.

Vào lúc 9:48 ET (14:48 GMT), Dow Jones giảm 216 điểm hay 0,6%, trong khi S&P 500 giảm 1% và NASDAQ giảm 1,1%.

Lợi suất trái phiếu kho bạc 2 năm tăng lên 4,446% trong khi lợi suất trái phiếu kho bạc 10 năm tăng lên 3,777%. Chủ tịch Fed St. Louis ông James Bullard cho biết lãi suất chính sách của ngân hàng trung ương vẫn chưa đạt đến “mức có thể được coi là đủ hạn chế”.

Fed đã tăng lãi suất cơ bản thêm 0,75% trong bốn cuộc họp gần đây nhất và được kỳ vọng sẽ tăng trở lại vào cuộc họp tháng 12, mặc dù có thể ở mức tăng nửa điểm nhỏ hơn.

Cổ phiếu của Macy's Inc (NYSE:M) tăng 10% sau khi chuỗi cửa hàng bách hóa nâng triển vọng lợi nhuận cả năm, trong khi cổ phiếu của Kohl's Corp (NYSE:KSS) tăng 0,8% sau khi rút dự báo doanh thu và lợi nhuận của chính mình.

Cổ phiếu của Tập đoàn sản xuất chip NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) đã tăng 1,2% sau khi vượt qua ước tính doanh thu hàng quý nhờ nhu cầu mạnh mẽ trong hoạt động kinh doanh trung tâm dữ liệu.

Dầu giảm. Dầu thô WTI giảm 1,8% xuống 84,08 USD/thùng, trong khi dầu Brent giảm 1% xuống 92,86 USD/thùng. Vàng giảm 0,7% xuống còn 1762 USD.
