Có thể, việc nắm giữ chi phối VinFast khi hãng xe ô tô Việt sắp sửa IPO là lý do giúp cổ phiếu VIC của Vingroup (HM:VIC) tăng trần phiên 6/12/2022. VinFast công bố thông tin đã nộp hồ sơ đăng ký theo mẫu F-1 lên Uỷ ban giao dịch chứng khoán Mỹ (SEC) và dự kiến sẽ niêm yết cổ phiếu phổ thông trên sàn Nasdaq với mã VFS.

“Hậu thuẫn” đằng sau cho việc VinFast niêm yết tại Mỹ là hệ thống các ngân hàng, công ty chứng khoán có tên tuổi đồng hành: Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC và J.P. Morgan Securities LLC sẽ đóng vai trò Ngân hàng dựng sổ chính, kiêm đại diện của các nhà bảo lãnh phát hành cho đợt chào bán được đề xuất. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., RBC Capital Markets, LLC và Wolfe | Liên minh Nomura cũng sẽ là các bên đồng dựng sổ. Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated sẽ đóng vai trò đồng quản lý.

Sự kiện này tiếp diễn sau sự kiện lô xe 999 chiếc VF8 của VinFast xuất khẩu ra thị trường quốc tế và dự kiến cập cảng Mỹ tháng 12/2022 này lại càng khiến nhiều người quan tâm hơn.

Trong bản công bố thông tin trước thềm IPO, VinFast công bố cơ cấu cổ đông, trong đó cổ đông được cấu thành từ 3 cổ đông lớn là Vingroup, VIG và Asian Star Trading & Investments Pte.Ltd. Trong đó Vingroup nắm 51,5% vốn cổ phần; VIG nắm giữ 33,5% vốn cổ phần và Asian Star nắm 15% vốn.

VIG là Tập đoàn đầu tư tại Việt Nam do tỷ phú Phạm Nhật Vượng nắm quyền sở hữu. Còn Asian Star là một công ty tại Singapore cũng do tỷ phú Phạm Nhật Vượng nắm quyền sở hữu.

Toàn bộ 100% quyền biểu quyết tại VinFast được uỷ quyền về cho ông Phạm Nhật Vượng.

Bà Lê Thị Thu Thuỷ, CEO của VinFast cho biết, nếu tiến hành IPO thành công, thương hiệu và tầm vóc của VinFast sẽ vươn lên một mốc mới trên trường quốc tế và mang lại cho công ty thêm một kênh huy động vốn chủ sở hữu trong tương lai. VinFast sẽ tiếp tục chọn thời điểm thuận lợi để huy động vốn chủ sở hữu, khi thị trường đã quen thuộc hơn với thương hiệu và câu chuyện của VinFast.
