Công ty chứng khoán này đã vi phạm quy định về hạn chế đầu tư của công ty chứng khoán khi đầu tư quá 15% vốn chủ sở hữu vào một cổ phiếu niêm yết. Ngày 13/12/2022, Ủy ban Chứng khoán Nhà nước (UBCKNN) ban hành quyết định về việc xử phạt vi phạm hành chính trong lĩnh vực chứng khoán và thị trường chứng khoán đối với CTCP Chứng khoán Việt Thành. Cụ thể:

Công ty bị phạt tiền 125 triệu đồng do vi phạm quy định về hạn chế đầu tư của công ty chứng khoán khi đầu tư quá 15% vốn chủ sở hữu vào một cổ phiếu niêm yết.

Chi tiết:

+ Tại thời điểm ngày 31/12/2021, Chứng khoán Việt Thành đã đầu tư tới 19,69% vốn chủ sở hữu vào cổ phiếu CTCP Đầu tư Hạ tầng kỹ thuật TP. HCM (Mã CII (HM:CII) - HOSE);

+ Tại thời điểm ngày 31/3/2022, công ty đầu tư 28,21% vốn chủ sở hữu vào cổ phiếu CII và 16,09% vốn chủ sở hữu vào cổ phiếu VPB của Ngân hàng TMCP Việt Nam Thịnh Vượng (VPBank (HM:VPB));

+ Tại thời điểm ngày 30/6/2022, công ty đầu tư 33,61% vốn chủ sở hữu vào cổ phiếu CII).

Ngoài ra, Chứng khoán Việt Thành cũng bị phạt tiền 150 triệu đồng do báo cáo có nội dung sai lệch.

Cụ thể, tại báo cáo tỷ lệ an toàn tài chính tại thời điểm ngày 31/12/2021 và ngày 31/3/2022, công ty không tính giá trị rủi ro thị trường tăng thêm khi tính tỷ lệ an toàn tài chính đối với khoản đầu tư vào cổ phiếu CII, VPB từ trên mức 10% vốn chủ sở hữu công ty).

Theo đó, UBCKNN yêu cầu công ty phải báo cáo thông tin chính xác đối với hành vi báo cáo có nội dung sai lệch.
