Cổ phiếu PVD đang nằm trong danh sách chứng khoán không đủ điều kiện giao dịch ký quỹ, thị giá đạt mức 16.500 đồng/cp. Nhóm quỹ Dragon Capital  thông báo đã hoàn tất mua thêm 1,66 triệu cổ phiếu PVD của Tổng CTCP Khoan và Dịch vụ Khoan Dầu khí - PV Drilling (HM:PVD) trong ngày 31/10.

Trong đó, KB Vietnam Focus Balanced Fund mua 60.000 đơn vị, Samsung Vietnam Securities Master Investment Trust mua 100.000 đơn vị và Norges Bank mua 1,5 triệu đơn vị.

Sau giao dịch, tỷ lệ sở hữu của cả nhóm tăng từ 7,79% lên 8,09%,  tương ứng xấp xỉ 45 triệu cổ phiếu. Trước đó, đầu tháng 9, nhóm quỹ này đã trở thành cổ đông lớn của PV Drilling  sau khi mua thêm 3,1 triệu cổ phiếu PVD để tăng sở hữu từ 4,77% lên 5,33%. Như vậy, chỉ trong vòng hơn nửa tháng, Dragon Capital đã mua ròng tổng cộng 7,7 triệu cổ phiếu PVD.

Về tình hình kinh doanh, quý 3/2022, PVD ghi nhận hơn 1.242 tỷ đồng doanh thu thuần, tăng 23% so với cùng kỳ năm trước; song lỗ ròng 52 tỷ đồng, đây cũng là quý thứ 3 liên tiếp PVD thua lỗ.

Theo giải trình của PVD, lơi nhuận sau thuế vẫn ghi nhận âm là do việc giảm mạnh các khoản lợi nhuận từ các dịch vụ liên quan đến khoan và lợi nhuận từ các công ty liên doanh. Đồng thời chi phí tài chính tăng mạnh do tỷ giá đồng USD tăng cộng thêm biến động Libor làm tăng chi phí lãi vay. Trong khi đó, doanh thu tăng chủ yếu do đơn giá cho thuê giàn khoan và hiệu suất sử dụng giàn khoan tự nâng sở hữu tăng so với cùng kỳ, cộng thêm sự đóng góp doanh thu của giàn khoan PV Drilling V đang thực hiện chiến dịch khoan cho Brunei Shell Petroleum.

Lũy kế 9 tháng, PV Drilling mang về 3.923 tỷ đồng doanh thu, tăng 54% so với cùng kỳ. Tuy nhiên, lợi nhuận sau thuế cổ đông công ty mẹ lại âm  151 tỷ đồng; trong khi cùng kỳ năm 2021 chỉ lỗ khoảng 30 tỷ đồng.
