Chỉ số S&P 500 giảm vào ngày thứ Ba (27/12) khi lợi suất trái phiếu tăng và nhà đầu tư cân nhắc triển vọng kinh tế năm 2023.

Kết phiên giao dịch ngày thứ Ba (27/12/2022), S&P 500 giảm 0,4% còn 3.829,25 điểm; Nasdaq giảm 1,38% về 10.353,23 điểm; Dow Jones tăng nhẹ 37,63 điểm lên 33.241,56 điểm.

Lợi suất trái phiếu Chính phủ Mỹ kỳ hạn 10 năm cuối phiên tăng gần 11 điểm cơ bản lên 3,85%. Cổ phiếu Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) là một trong những cổ phiếu giảm mạnh nhất thuộc Dow Jones - rớt xuống mức thấp chưa từng thấy kể từ tháng 6/2021 và mất 1,4%.

Đồng USD tiếp tục trượt giá

Đầu phiên giao dịch ngày 28/12 (theo giờ Việt Nam), trên thị trường Mỹ, chỉ số US Dollar Index (DXY) đo lường biến động đồng bạc xanh với 6 đồng tiền chủ chốt (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF) hiện ở mốc 104,14 - giảm 0,16%.

Đồng USD giảm nhẹ sau khi Trung Quốc cho biết họ sẽ hủy bỏ quy tắc kiểm dịch COVID-19 đối với khách du lịch trong nước - bước quan trọng trong việc mở cửa lại biên giới bất chấp việc các ca nhiễm COVID-19 tăng đột biến.

Giá vàng thế giới lập đỉnh 6 tháng

Giá vàng tăng lên mức cao nhất trong 6 tháng nhờ sự lạc quan xung quanh quyết định nới lỏng các biện pháp kiểm soát COVID-19 của Trung Quốc.

Kết phiên giao dịch, hợp đồng vàng giao ngay tăng 0,9% lên 1.813,48 USD/oz - mức cao nhất kể từ ngày 27/6/2022; hợp đồng vàng tương lai tăng 1% lên 1.822 USD/oz.

Giá dầu hôm nay tăng nhẹ

Giá dầu ổn định sau khi ghi nhận mức đỉnh 3 tuần vào ngày thứ Ba (27/12).

Kết phiên, hợp đồng dầu Brent tăng 66 xu (tương đương 0,8%) lên 84,58 USD/thùng; hợp đồng dầu WTI tăng 18 xu lên 79,73 USD/thùng. Cả 2 hợp đồng dầu đều đạt mức cao nhất kể từ ngày 5/12/2022 vào đầu phiên.

Các nhà máy lọc dầu dọc Gulf Coast bắt đầu hoạt động trở lại và tăng cường sản xuất sau khi một cơn bão tuyết khiến nhiệt độ xuống dưới mức đóng băng và dẫn đến tổn thất điện, thiết bị và đường truyền tại các cơ sở sản xuất dọc Gulf Coast của Mỹ.
