Đó là nhận định của ông Michael Kokalari, CFA, Chuyên gia Kinh tế trưởng VinaCapital. Ông Michael đánh giá việc Trung Quốc mở cửa trở lại sẽ thúc đẩy tăng trưởng GDP của Việt Nam hơn 2% vào năm tới do lượng khách du lịch Trung Quốc trở lại vào nửa cuối năm 2023.

Hiện, Trung Quốc là đối tác thương mại lớn nhất của Việt Nam, vậy nên các nhà đầu tư, nhà hoạch định chính sách và mọi người đều quan tâm đến tác động từ việc Trung Quốc nới lỏng chính sách “Zero COVID” đối với Việt Nam.

Tác động tức thời nhất của việc Trung Quốc dỡ bỏ các hạn chế COVID là Đồng Việt Nam (VND (HM:VND)) tăng khoảng 5% vì đồng Nhân dân tệ tăng 5%. Dưới góc độ kinh tế, ông Michael cho biết tâm lý thị trường thường lấn át các yếu tố kinh tế trên thị trường ngoại hối và tâm lý tích cực khi Trung Quốc mở cửa trở lại đã dẫn đến sự tăng giá mạnh của Đồng Nhân dân tệ và VND.

Với kỳ vọng một hiện tượng tâm lý tương tự sẽ thúc đẩy VN-Index, song ông Michael cho rằng thị trường chứng khoán Trung Quốc chỉ phục hồi khiêm tốn khi Chính phủ  Trung Quốc gỡ bỏ các hạn chế về COVID và các nhà đầu tư Việt Nam hiện đang chủ yếu tập trung vào các vấn đề trong nước đã tác động thị trường năm nay.

Dù vậy, ông Michael đánh giá lợi ích chính mà Việt Nam sẽ có được khi Trung Quốc mở cửa trở lại có thể là mức tăng khoảng 2% cho tăng trưởng GDP vào năm tới tạo ra bởi lượng khách du lịch Trung Quốc quay trở lại.

Cũng theo ông Michael, việc Trung Quốc mở cửa trở lại trong năm tới sẽ chỉ tác động đến lạm phát ở mức thấp và lưu ý rằng lạm phát của thế giới đã đạt đến đỉnh điểm và hiện đang giảm dần.

“Cuối cùng, trong khi tác động quan trọng nhất của việc Trung Quốc mở cửa trở lại đối với Việt Nam là lượng khách du lịch Trung Quốc có khả năng trở lại bình thường trong nửa cuối năm 2023, thì tác động tức thời nhất là sự cải thiện về tâm lý đối với Đồng Việt Nam (VND)”, ông Michael nói.
